The profit of Storm International grew in 2017
In 2017, the profit of the gambling company Storm International grew by 14.8%, and revenue - by 12%. This is reported in the financial statements of the gambling holding, published in the first quarter of 2018.
As noted in the document, the biggest increase in profits was recorded in Shangri-La casino in Yerevan, where it reached 48%, as well as in the Shangri-La Tbilisi casino, where it accounted for 21%.
The reason for the growth of these two markets, as noted by Darren Keane, Shangri La spokesperson, was the increase in the number of foreign customers. At the same time last year, the number of international flights to Yerevan and Tbilisi doubled.
In addition, in November 2017 the company opened its latest casino Shangri La in Riga. A new gambling establishment is located in the heart of the Latvian capital in the newly built Grand Hotel Kempinski.
"We expect that our project in Riga will be successfully developed thanks to the good reputation of our brand in the region and, of course, the location of the casino in the most luxurious hotel in Latvia", commented on the opening of the gambling establishment, CEO of Storm International, Darren Keane.
In addition, in April 2017 the company launched the online casino PlayShangriLa.com, whose design was developed in accordance with the company's branding.
"In 2017, our company continued to thrive, despite the growth of taxes and the emergence of additional competition in some of our markets. Managing our casinos is our strength, which includes our human resources, management systems, customer loyalty programs and, of course, our well-known brand", commented Darren Keane.
It should be noted that currently, the gambling holding operates in Germany, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, and Latvia. Shangri La casino operates and develops on the territory of the CIS. And in Germany the Storm Casino network is successfully moving forward. Yet those are not casinos, but cozy slot-halls, combined with thematic restaurants or bars. Storm Casinos are sport bars where guests can participate in tournaments for darts or pool. But even at this Storm International does not stop its activities, it is in search of new markets.
